What is the Residence Hall Association (RHA)?
The RHA of Appalachian State University is the second largest student organization on campus. It is the student-run governing board of all Hall Councils. RHA is sponsored by the Department of Housing & Residence Life and is funded from residence hall fees. RHA is a network of students comprised of an executive board and one representative from each residence hall who serves as the Hall Council’s voice and votes at all RHA meetings. RHA discusses various needs of residential students andi s active in making sure the halls’ needs are met. RHA is a way for students to meet leaders from other areas of campus while becoming actively involved in the campus residential community. Students will also develop leadership skills, communicate ideas from the Hall Council level, plan campus-wide activities, and serve as an advisory council regarding policy issues affecting campus residents.
