What is the RESET pushbutton (sw1) for on the PCM400 CPU board?
Momentarily pressing and then releasing the RESET pushbutton will cause a complete reset of the PCM400’s processor and logic. It will simulate the occurrence of a power failure and will log a “Power Failure” in the PCM’s Alarm Log report. A Reset function will not adversely affect the operation of the PCM400 in any way. If the PCM400 was connected to an ISP or other remote computer at the time that the button was pressed, that connection will be interrupted and in the case of the PCM400I, it will be re-established shortly after restarting. Some service actions will require a RESET action.
