What is the Research Ethics Board (REB)?
The REB is a committee appointed by the VP Research to review all research involving human participants from the perspective of participant protection. Members consist of faculty and graduate students from a wide variety disciplines and research backgrounds as well as community members. The role of the REB is to ensure compliance with the Tri-Council Policy Statement (TCPS). The REB reviews the protocols for all research involving human participants as defined by the TCPS.
