Documentation of the research conducted to develop the MMPI-2-RF as well as extensive data on the reliability and validity of the 50 scales of the test are provided in the Technical Manual, which includes extensive empirical correlate data from outpatient and inpatient mental health, substance abuse treatment, medical, and civil and criminal forensic settings. The Technical Manual also provides descriptive scale statistics for these settings as well as for personnel screening settings. In addition, the Restructured Clinical (RC) Scales, which are identical on the MMPI-2-RF and on the MMPI-2, have been researched extensively in a broad range of other settings and samples.
