You need to come in to the nearest driver licensing station and fill an application for an out of state transfer. Please bring your valid U.S. license and an original social security card. If you do not have a social security number, proceed to the Social Security Office to apply for one. If you are not eligible to have a number, please advise that office to fax the verification letter to the nearest driver licensing office. The two documents you present must match your name. If you changed your name through divorce, marriage, naturalization or Lieutenant Governor’s office, please bring your original or certified document.
