What is the requirement for conducting TPAs for teachers who indicate they are retiring at the end of the year that is identified as their evaluation year?
If the year is scheduled as an evaluation year for a teacher, the teacher must receive a performance appraisal in accordance with the requirements set out in Part X.2 of the Education Act, and in O. Regs 99/02 and 98/02. There is no exception for an experienced teacher who plans to retire at the end of the year that is scheduled as his or her evaluation year.
