What is the reorganization of JROTC all about?

0

On 1 Jun 06 at 1100, the CG, US Army Cadet Command approved a new JROTC organizational structure which will go in effect 1 Oct 06. Under this new structure AC-Bragg will be absorbed into the existing Fourth Brigade structure and AC-Dix was absorbed into the existing Second Brigade structure. Additionally, First, Third and Fifth Brigades no longer have a JROTC responsibility. Out of the 14 brigades only 11 have a JROTC mission. This reorganization was based on a number of considerations to include an adequate support personnel to program ratio, Lean Six Sigma considerations and a recent VSA analysis. This reorganization should have no adverse impact on the field. The same personnel that were in AC-Bragg are now assigned to Fourth Brigade and continue to work solely on JROTC actions.
