It’s a nature-based religion, commonly believing in God and Goddess or in single or multiple pantheons (groups of gods based on culture i.e. Greek, Egyptian) and most believe that pantheons are aspects of greater power. Typically using “magick” to get things done, or in Wiccan terms, manipulating energy to cause change. I highly suggest you find out what you personally believe in before blindly subscribing to a religion such as Wicca, especially if you are only doing this for the sole reason that the Christian Bible condemns “witchcraft”. Also, the Bible means almost nothing to most Wiccans, as we don’t have one single scripture of faith. If you want to find out more, I suggest you google and learn about the history of Wicca, starting in roughly the 30s with Gerald Gardner, and learn the different paths (they are kind of like Christian denominations). I know magic works because I’ve been doing it for over a decade. Wicca is just one of many faiths that embrace Magic. But Wiccans and Witches aren’t the only ones who use magic. You can be both a Wiccan and a witch, these two words are not the same. None of these words has anything to do with devil worship. One of the biggest sore points among Wiccans is the improper usage of the terms “Wiccan” and “Witch”. Too many people use the terms interchangeably, presuming that they both mean the same thing.
