What is the relevance of Peoples Democratic Party Slogan “power to the people” to technical education?
The mandate of the party to which I belong is power to the people. I am here as a politician, the power of technical education, both to the boys and the girls. Three quarters of the student are girls. That is one of the challenges we have. Even the head of the Federal Ministry of Education is a woman. So, we are using both powers to train men and women as teachers. It is to ensure technological power to the people through power to the people. How do you combine the job of a politician, chairman, Governing Council with your motherly role? At this level I should be able to manage myself and care for myself, my good health, family, the party and Nigeria. But very soon I have to be leaving when my campaign starts in earnest. Whatever the law requires us to do I will do it and keep on with my politics. How will you transform technical education if you become president? I hope to score pass mark. We have a vision.
