The Release Gate provides a way to end a segment based on an external triggering event, such as a note release. It can be used in 2 ways: • With the Duration input also being used, the Release Gate provides a way to end the segment before the time specified by the Duration has elapsed. • With the Duration input not connected to anything, the segment will be sustained until the Release Gate is triggered.
