What is the relationship with Mennonite World Conference (MWC), Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) or other international bodies such as the World Evangelical Alliance?
The IBICA is in the process of formally joining the Mennonite World Conference in its “association” category. The MWC is very supportive of the development and vision of the IBICA and leaders of the MWC and Brethren in Christ Church have a strong and affirming relationship. As Mennonite Central Committee continues to define new ways of relating to the international Mennonite and Brethren in Christ churches, the IBICA desires to be very much involved and supportive of MCC and its work. The IBICA will be open to other affiliations, such as the World Evangelical Alliance, on a case-by-case basis where it is felt there is close alignment with the BIC and will be of mutual benefit.
