What is the relationship of the Bandit project to the Higgins project?
In it’s inception, the Bandit project created an Identity Abstraction to hide identity representation details from Identity application developers. When we heard about a similar effort, called Higgins, underway at the Eclipse foundation, we decided to join and focus our Identity Abstraction efforts there. Some Bandit objectives are encompassed in Higgins objectives and some Bandit components use Higgins components to accomplish their goals. Since the beginning of our involvement in the Higgins project, other common components have been created under the Higgins umbrella such as DigitalMe.
