What is the relationship of Process Advisor to the SEI approach?
Process Advisor enables your organization to conduct a process assessment that is quite similar to the SEI’s, but it does not implement a formal SEI assessment. Process Advisor uses many of the questions from the SEI questionnaire, but has reorganized and extended them to accommodate a “do-it-yourself” format. Instead of developing only one process maturity grade, Process Advisor develops grades for eight critical process attributes. Process Advisor also provides a comprehensive “quasi expert system” to help you interpret what the results mean to your company.
