What is the relationship of PEPFAR to the Government of South Africa’s national HIV and AIDS management strategy?
Following guidance from the South African Minister of Health and the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator, the PEPFAR Task Force has worked closely with the South African Government to identify areas where PEPFAR support can enhance and strengthen the implementation of the South African Government’s HIV/AIDS and STD Strategic Plan and the Operational Plan for the Care and Treatment of People Living with HIV and AIDS. By working in partnership, South Africa and the U.S. will make the achievement of goals in HIV care, prevention and treatment even more likely.
