What is the relationship between the TDAs role in PPD and the Higher Education Funding Council for Englands role in funding other postgraduate programmes?
The Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) no longer funds professional programmes for teachers. Programmes developed to provide postgraduate learning and development opportunities specifically for qualified teachers are funded by the TDA through PPD. Other professionals may participate in these programmes but will not receive PPD funding, although they may be eligible for other funding through HEFCE.
