The theory of nature versus nature tells us that there are basically two different types of major influences in life: those which we gain by pure heredity and genetics; and those which we learn. Nature is what you are CONCEIVED with. Once you have reached a certain point in fetal development, you are no longer subject to mere naure. Because fetal nervous development and response begins while still in the womb, learning/ nurture is also considered to start in the womb. Therefore, anything that is learned by senses (sound/ tone, touch/ feel, sensitivity to attitudes, smells and sight) fall under nurture. There are those that are considered to be genetically pre-disposed toward violence or crime. It does NOT mean that they are automatically going to be such, since we all still have the option/ power of self-determination.
