What is the relationship between the Junior Golf Association of Arizona and the JGAA Boys Golf Club?
The JGAA Boys Golf Club is a program that is sponsored by the Junior Golf Association of Arizona and administered by the JGAA staff. The purpose of the BGC is to encourage young boys to feel comfortable participating in structured golf events without the pressure of competing in a threatening environment. Eventually, it is our hope that the BGC members will feel confident enough to move into the JGAA statewide competitive tournament program. A common problem we have found in the JGAA statewide competitive tournament program is a sense that some of the participants were terribly overwhelmed by what was taking place. They didnt feel comfortable not knowing about different aspects of tournament golf. The last thing we wanted was for a young person to leave a JGAA event with a bad taste in his/her mouth and not return because of that experience. The JGAA Boys Golf Club will prepare boys for competitive tournaments in the future, which will lead to better golfing experiences for everyone in
