The Amgen Foundation and AmgenMED are both funding entities of Amgen. Each grant request can be submitted to only one of Amgens funding entities. The Amgen Foundation funds grants in the following giving areas: (1) to advance science education; (2) to improve quality of care and access for patients; and (3) to support resources that create sound communities where Amgen staff members live and work. AmgenMED makes donations in the following categories: fellowships, independent medical education, medical society support, patient education, fundraising events and other healthcare programs and initiatives.
