What is the relationship between static pressure and CFM?
A fan works much like a pump; it operates at a given volume AND static pressure. For example, 600 CFM @ 6″. The relationship between the two is inverse – that is, as pressure drop increases, volume will decrease. But it is not a linear relationship.
