Think not of philosophy as like a hobby or a study but think of it more as thinking philosophically, something that must be done in order to live life. Philosophy is the search for knowledge in whatever you desire. However it is very important that one thinks philosophically in order to achieve this enlightenment. Religion however takes a leap of faith. It is impossible to prove that ones god exists it is impossible to prove it does not exist. religion gives hope too people, it endeavors to answer some questions that philosophers have asked only in religion the answer is some what less rational.
