Established in 1892, Methodist Hospital has been an integral part of the South Philadelphia community. In the 1990s, Methodist began partnering with Jefferson Hospital and more recently, that partnership was formalized when Methodist Hospital became wholly owned by, and a division of, Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals.
