The Member Panel is currently looking at this. It is difficult to be actively involved while the debate is still taking place, and there are still issues that need to be worked out. Innovating in Diversity Awareness training through blended learning techniques Claire Budgen, Ipswich Borough Council claire.budgen@ipswich.gov.uk Ipswich Borough Council, Colchester Borough Council and Suffolk Coastal District Council have worked together to consider how to reach hard to reach groups using a blend of learning types. It was decided to use Diversity for the project’s pilot to enable each council to have a stronger profile within the Equalities Standard framework. Conclusions included the need to get people not only to attend but to be willing to learn, and a need to have a blend of training choices.
