In 1995, Imperial Capital Bank, then named Imperial Thrift and Loan Association, successfully executed an IPO and became a publicly traded company listed on the NASDAQ. On October 1, 1996, Imperial Thrift and Loan Association, a California Industrial Loan Company, completed a reorganization to a holding company structure and became a wholly owned subsidiary of ITLA Capital Corporation. On October 20, 1999, Imperial Thrift and Loan Association changed its name to Imperial Capital Bank. Imperial is a FDIC-insured depository institution.
