A6. FCPSF and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. are two independent and separately operated non-profit organizations. FCPSF was organized by the members of The Federal City Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for the purposes of providing services to and funding programs for several underserved populations in metro Washington, DC. Contributions made to FCPSF are managed solely by the foundation and cannot be used to support sorority/chapter operations. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. A sisterhood of more than 200,000 predominately African-American college educated women, it currently has over 900 chapters located in the United States, England, Japan (Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas and the Republic of Korea.
