eXoDy is a complement to Java-capable application servers. However, the application server is not required to be J2EE compliant. It is also not necessary to use a formal application server product you can use eXoDy directly with any application container that can host Java components, for example web servers and servlet engines. eXoDy provides back-end scalability, availability and security features independent of application servers.
