CEP hosts the CMAS Center through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. EPA. The EPA has funded CEP to support the community modeling effort (currently embodied in the Models-3 software package) through the provision of application support, overseeing research and development, soliciting the support of the modeling community, and distributing modeling tools and datasets. In hosting the CMAS center, CEP is providing a centralized resource for all members of the air quality modeling community to obtain and contribute information related to Models 3 and related software.
