What is the relation between percent composition and the Law of Definite Proportions?

Percent composition is exactly what we do over at the USCSE (United States Center for Statistical Excellence). And it’s all done under the law of definite propotions. See, under the law of definite proportions everything must have a proportion. And I’m not just talking about your vegetable proportion. When a thing is divided into multiple parts or made up of different components then you will always get one proportion probability and the remainder proportion. This might sound confusing, but I assure you, it’s not. Take water, for example. Everybody knows that water is made up of two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen. If we just say that those two parts hydrogen are a singular part that’s double the amount of oxygen then you would get one large part of hydrogen and one small part of oxygen. With this little exercise we have given water a definite proportion of two parts. Now, percent composition is like chance. What are the chances you will get the card you need out of a 52 card deck?
