What is the Register In Education (RIE) program, and why should I donate my papers to it while on vacation?

A. By taking part in our Vacation Donation program, you are helping us put newspapers in Orange County schools to be used as valuable learning tools. Donating is easy – when you stop your paper temporarily for a vacation, you can donate the papers you’ll be missing to the RIE program for use in local area classrooms. Donations may be made at any time of the year, whether or not school is in session (a donation made in the summer, when most schools are out of session, is considered a credit that will be used toward putting newspapers in the classroom at a later date).
