Region IV is one of Washington State’s nine regional coordinating offices that receive federal grant funding for Homeland Security purposes. This funding is designated to help provide emergency responders (first responders) with equipment, training and awareness to effectively respond to homeland security threats. Emergency / First Responder agencies include Fire, Law Enforcement, HAZMAT, EMS, Public Health, Hospitals, Public Works, and Communications.
