What is the Refund Policy?
If the Registrar receives written notice of the student’s intent to withdraw from a course at least one week prior to the scheduled beginning date of the course for which enrolled, all money deposited with the School will be returned in full, provided that any materials issued are returned unused. There shall be no refunds of student fees or materials after the student starts the class.
All requests for refunds must be made in writing. When writing, please put include your payment information (check number) and where you would like your refund mailed to. No other refund requests will be considered. Refunds requested between March 1 and July 1, and granted, will be the balance of fees paid beyond the non-refundable $300.00 deposit. Refunds requested between July 2 and August 1, and granted, will be 1/3 of the fee. No refunds of any kind will be given after August 1, 2008. You may receive a refund at any time after the one-year (12 calendar months) anniversary of purchase, adjusted for fund performance. As with any 529 program, if you do not use the money for qualified higher education expenses, any increase in the value of your initial purchase amounts (the difference between your contribution amount and the amount refunded) will be subject to federal income tax as well as an additional 10% tax. If you take a refund, rather than redeem your certificate for its intended purpose, the refund will be adjusted based on the net performance of the Program Trust, subject to a maximum increase of 2% per year and a maximum loss of 2% per year.
