What is the Reentry Initiative Resource Map?
The Serious and Violent Offender Reentry Initiative is a collaborative effort of multiple Federal Partners representing the U.S. Departments of Justice, Labor, Health and Human Services, Housing and Urban Development, Education, and Veterans Affairs, and the Social Security Administration. These Federal Partners have provided funding and resources to assist the 50 States and two territories in developing, implementing, enhancing, and evaluating reentry strategies. The Reentry Online Resource Map is a robust electronic resource for reentry grantees and others across the country who are interested in, or have the potential to contribute to, program development and service integration for returning offenders and their families. Designed to be an evolving resource, the Resource Map presents easy access to Federal, State, and national resources for facilitating prisoner reentry, no matter what phase of reentry program development and implementation a community exhibits.
