What is the reef like in Puerto Morelos?
There is a barrier reef (2nd largest in the world) that extends from north of Cancun down the Caribbean coast of the Yucatan Peninsula all the way to Honduras. This is the reef in front of Puerto Morelos. This stretch of reef is gorgeous for snorkeling. Parts of it come up to the surface. There are different kinds of coral and may different reef fish to be seen.
