What is the red pandas niche?
Red Pandas are very sensitive to heat. They thrive when the temperature is between 17 and 25 degrees Celsius and cannot tolerate it over the 25 degree mark. As a result, these little creatures sleep during hot days in the shady treetops, often lying stretch out on branches to increase their surface area and thus increasing heat loose, keeping them cool. They often rolled up in tree hollows with their tails over their face when the temperature is to low.
