all of the other answers are stupid i know this cuz i wear them they are called bindis or bindus or depending on your lang. red doesnt always mean marriage girls in the south can wear them before marriage but if you put red on the part in your hair that always means your married and bindis can be made like a sticker with rhineastones in it or it can me pre made in a paste like paint or its called kumkum its a powder and also when you go to temple you apply it there before praying and iraqis Dont wear it!!!
