On average, you will not be required to stay in hospital for more than 24 hours after the insertion of your LAP-BAND and most often, you will be able to go home on the same day. After the procedure, it may take about 1 week before you should return to work and around 4-6 weeks before you can take up exercise again. If there are any complications or special circumstances, you surgeon will be able to guide you back to normal activities with proper guidance.
