Ans.: For running MS-Windows based applications such as PageMaker, CorelDraw and Ventura Gold, a minimum configuration of a 486DX based PC with 8 MB RAM, VGA/Hercules display, 80 MB Hard disk and a mouse is recommended. Packages like MS-Word and Write can run even in a 386 based 4 MB machine, but may be slow. For applications such as PageMaker 4.0, CorelDraw 3.0, etc., which demand more resources a 486DX or 486-based PC with 16 MB RAM and a 200 MB Hard disk is recommended. Note: ISM while running takes only 4MB of RAM for software and around 100 KB per fonts depending on the number of fonts loaded. ISM takes around 63 MB of disk space for software and 50 KB for every ISFOC font.
