What is the recommended spacing between soybean plants?
Soybeans can tolerate a wide range of populations without a significant change in yield. If the plants are not lodging (or falling down), I would not worry about them being planted too thick. If you have at least one plant per foot, I wouldn’t worry about them being planted too thin. The higher populations crowd out the weeds a little sooner, grow a little taller, and provide a little more backup insurance in case disease, insects, rabbits or a cultivator kills a plant or two.
