Novell recommends deploying the SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP2 service pack while simultaneously deploying the Subscription Management Tool with the SP2 installations configured pointing to it at setup time. Due to circumstances of the site’s setup, it may be necessary to install the Subscription Management Tool with SP1, by adding certificates to the SP1 installation manually and changing channels as needed. Further documentation of this process is available in a separate Technical Information Document (TID). Please note that SP1 support for the Tool is limited to the transition period of six months after the release of SP2 during which SP1 is supported. The Subscription Management Tool support for SP1 expires at the same time as that of SP1.
