In a production environment, we recommend that you install and configure Oracle CM SDK in a multiple-machine configuration, in which the database runs on one machine and Oracle CM SDK runs on one or more separate middle-tier machines. To run Oracle Internet Directory for authentication of users, an additional machine is recommended. A single-machine installation is possible, if the machine meets all software and hardware requirements. For more information, please read the Oracle Content Management SDK Installation Guide.
