What is the recommended configuration for a PC running SimPlant?

A. SimPlant will work in most PCs from Pentium III and up, since the rendering engine knows how to adapt to different configurations, from quite old to super-modern (mainly video cards). On the other hand, you need a “fair” PC to really enjoy working with SimPlant. My recommendations are at least: CPU Pentium IV at 2.0 GHz, 1 GB RAM, and 128 or better 256 MB RAM for the Video Card. You also need a good mouse connected via cable (USB or PS/2 port) to the PC or laptop (NOT wireless Infrared, RF or Bluetooth) and of course optical (without a ball in the lower part), since mice (like cameras) have an optical resolution and graphical applications need that information to smoothly convert the mouse movements into vector commands. Now, if you can afford a machine with the most advanced Intel Core Duo 2 CPU and with at least 2 GB RAM… go for it.
