small cinnamon stick 2 whole cloves 1 lump of sugar or 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar 1 pat of butter 1 jigger of Jamaican or Puerto Rican rum A pinch of ground nutmeg Boiling water Rinse a mug with boiling water (to warm it). Put the first five ingredients in, add the boiling water and sprinkle the nutmeg on top. It’ll be too hot to drink right away, but that’s okay because the longer it sits, the better it is.
