In addition to being convenient to Capitol Hill, the Catholic Social Ministry Gathering Planning Committee selected the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill because it is one of a few union hotels in the Washington, DC area that can accommodate the conference group size. In earlier surveys, using a union hotel was expressed as an important factor when contracting hotels for the Gathering.
