What is the reason that India is the 4th corrupt nation in Asia?
India is the second most populated country in the World. When you have one billion people in a country and while one part of the country is racing towards high tech., the other part is still stuck somewhere in the 17th century. Lust, greed and lack of soul is the reason for the corruption.It starts at the top in Government and tricles down to the clerks, and various departments. I believe that a whole generation of thugs sitting in high ranking positions in their 80″‘s and 90”s need to die and the younger generation taking control have to somehow resist the greed and lust for money.I also believe that birth control needs to be taught to the very poor who are regularly having kids and then send them off into the streets to beg.Kids maybe gifts from God ,but it still takes two to tango.
Corruption is in people’s minds. If we call the money demanding Government officials as corrupt do we have any other term for traders selling substandard / counterfeit goods, giving rotten toffees for the balance change, autorikshaw drivers charging double the government fixed rate, bus conductors either not giving the balance or ticket, businessmen avoiding paying taxes and so on. Every practice is corrupt if money is earned by unfair means be it by government officials or by others. India can be corrupt free country if the every bank note earned by all has the sweet smell of our sweat. A wishful thinking for that we have to be less greedy and so our politicians. A far cry for now.
