What is the reason that deluded and primitive beliefs of religion have preserved through the centuries?
Religion along with just about everything else is pretty corrupt in our society but it is hugely better for people to have an optimistic approach to life than a nihilistic one. The trouble with religion in this country is we mix it up with politics. God and Jesus tell us what to do and how to do it because they are supposed to be in touch with “ultimate truth”. It gives them and their priests a bogus authority. One look at the results show that they cannot be trusted unreservedly. This all started in Roman times and it never recovered. My answer is that we learn to love unreservedly – love ourselves and not see other people just as obstacles to our happiness.
God is true and you don’t need science to prove that. His creations are all around us, his evidence and signs are all around us. The world is going to come to an end soon enough and it’s going to end because God wants it to. For example, Darwinism is a belief that you can read about, but not see with your own eyes. No one has ever really seen our great ancestor being a monkey and even ardipithecus (the new fossil discovery) disproves Darwinism. So I strongly advise you do your research on religion. Religion has been around for centuries. But it all depends on which religion you choose in the end. Also, atheists can’t think of God as a human being. He does not have limitations. He encompasses the physics and nature of the human world and the universe because he created it. He cannot die, cannot eat, cannot sleep, cannot drink…he does not have human characteristics. Until atheists get that straight, you’ll never understand the concept of God.
I am not in any set religion , but I have to correct you on one point.He did send proof.He sent Jesus who proved he could do miracles and after he died he beamed back up to the planet he came from .The sad trouble is that a lot of the books of the bible have been “lost” and they hold information that would stop religions .The powers/churches dont want that to happen because it suits them better to be rich.The vatican have these books hidden away, it would cause too much trouble if they were revealed .The translations we are told to read in churches do not show the truth as it was written.They were translated by men who didnt believe the truth either so they interpretted the writings as what they assumed was meant , rather than what WAS meant.No wonder there is confusion.Read Our beginnings on website.It will amaze you.Or if you are really interested I will copy/paste some of it to you.
