What is the reason for participating in NCS from 7th through 12th grade?
New Century Scholars is more than just a scholarship program. New Century Scholars helps students to develop life skills that ensure school success. Students are strongly encouraged to take courses that will academically prepare them for college level work. Research has shown that when students are identified early in their academic careers, given the support necessary to do well in school, and helped to see a path towards a college education, they are more likely to stay in school and achieve their goals.
