What is the real meaning of true friendship?
A true friend is a little more than a very good friend. A true friend will support you even if it hurts his/her own interest.He/she will understand your motives and needs and will be with you without any analysis or criticism. They will come forward to help without any request and be with us in need without showing it or expecting anything in return. With a true friend, you can be sure that you will get help to the extent possible by him/her. Nothing will remain unturned. They will be with you whenever you need him/her. In your hour of desperation, a true friend will support you even if the whole world opposes you. A true friend is not an opportunist.Instead of having hundreds of good friends, if you have a true friend, treat yourself lucky.
That is an unhealthy approach to friendship on soo many levels – 1st – you are expending an awful lot of energy in an area that isn’t likely being returned in kind or you would KNOW that your friends loved you too! 2nd – you should turn all that love onto yourself and make no one (except in the future if need be your kids) worth your life. 3rd – so while the true meaning of friendship is a personal translation of personalities and situations the bottom line is the “true” part means its a two way street and the friendship part should not have you living in such doubt that its only you that appreciates it. You sound young – so I hope you learn (and the sooner the better) that YOU are worth great friends – especailly with your willingness to put your all into a friendship – so save that energy for “real friends” who won’t leave you guessing whether they care and appreciate you.
