what is the reaction in the US to the Big Planet Recall of toys due to religious claims?
As you can see in the aformentioned article, there’s nothing big with it. The game was simply going to be released, as they normally do, when someone discovered that the lyrics to one of the songs presented in the game had phrases from the Qu’ran. For westerners, and most people in the USA, this isn’t really important, but most people who adore Islam are very serious about taking phrases from their holy book, and this could cause a massive problem in some Asian countries, which is why the game was recalled; as far as I know, “toys” were then recall, just not to have them released before the actual game.
