The five-year re-certification process for auditor-related designations includes two parts: Audit Experience and Professional Development: For Audit Experience, certified members are asked to enter the details of all the audits they have been involved with during their re-certification period. For Professional Development, all activities and hours spent must be entered into the Certified Members’ Site and supporting hard copy information can be emailed, faxed, or mailed by post to the ECO Canada office. This supporting documentation provides ECO Canada with evidence that professional development activities have indeed taken place. While ECO Canada makes an effort to contact individuals whose five-year certification periods are coming to a close, it is the responsibility of the certified member to keep their designation in good standing by submitting all required re-certification information to ECO Canada in a timely manner.
