I have a 2004 Kia Rio. It’s making a weird rattling sound when I am idle, like stopped at a red light. It gets quieter if I turn off the air conditioning. A: Since it is a KIA, the squirrels are getting frisky this time of year. And when you are at idle, they start playing around. 🙂 Actually, it could be your “fan belt” or drive belt tensioner could be going out.
