What is the rationale for including the particular sections and questions in the Recognition Program application?
Each section of the Recognition Program application focuses on a topic area important to a healthy school environment. These topic areas complement the components of the Michigan Surgeon General’s Steps Up initiative to promote healthy lifestyles. The questions in each section focus on actions that schools can take that positively impact the school’s health environment. Each time a school takes one of these actions they take a step toward creating a healthier school environment.
